Shannon Roney

Shannon began dancing at the age of six at Janet's School of Dance in Irwin, PA. There she studied everything from ballet, tap, and jazz, to lyrical and pointe. Throughout her years at Janet's she performed in various competitions around the country. In 2004, at Janet's, she taught the five to seven year olds for the year. More recently she has taught lyrical and modern to the oldest competition line at Janet's. She also taught Tiny Tap and Ballet Camp for Hempfield Parks and Recreation.
In 2007, after graduating from Penn Trafford High School, Shannon began her higher education in dance at Slippery Rock University. There she performed in concerts put on by the school and has also taken numerous master classes taught by guest artists from around the country. Shannon is also very involved with backstage work in most concerts. She enjoys being part of the stage crew when she is not part of the concerts. Shannon is also a Physical Education Major at Slippery Rock University and part of their Woman's Rugby team.
