I have been dancing since the fragile age of three years old, and ever since then dance has been an important staple in my life. I began dancing at a small local dance school, learning all the basics of tap, jazz, and ballet. Alongside my dance classes, I attended gymnastics which I followed through for about four years. I learned the basics of tumbling and acrobatics, which I continue to work on even now.
After receiving the news that my dance school was closing, my parents went on the hunt for a new dance school for me to attend. Family and friends quickly recommended Janet’s School of Dance, the place that I now call my “second home”. I took classes in jazz, ballet, tap, and hip-hop, all of which I continue to take today. The staff and other dancers at Janet's were warm and welcoming and ready to teach. The staff has become such wonderful influences in my life and still continue to educate me and guide me as I better myself in the art of dance.
I can easily say that my dance teammates are some of my closest friends, and our dance line has become our own little family. Janet’s dance has become one of the biggest parts of my life, it has taught me to be both persistent and passionate and I remain deeply dedicated to it.
